Site adminSaturday, 13 July 2024101 views

Everything you need to start your diving journey confidently and safely from scratch until your first real dive.

Diving is not only for adventurers, but is available to every ordinary person who wants to see a different and beautiful world.

Are you qualified to dive?

Most people are qualified to dive. Basic requirements: Good health, swimming skills appropriate to the programme, and age according to certification criteria (eg PADI: Scuba experience usually from 10 years; Open Water from 10 years as a junior or 15 as an adult; Full Freediver course from 15 years, or 12 years for Basic Freediver program in pool only). Consult the center and the health form if in any doubt.

The fear of diving is very normal

Fear of the unknown is natural, and diving is unknown to those who have not tried it. Every professional diver has experienced the same fear, and whoever overcomes it finds a world he does not want to leave.

First experience: Guided diving experience

Before committing to a full course, you can try guided diving with an instructor for just two hours, during which you learn the basics and descend to a small depth accompanied by the instructor.

What to expect in the first experience

  • You may feel some discomfort from wearing the mask, but it goes away quickly
  • Regulated breathing will feel strange at first but becomes natural
  • A sense of balance takes time, and the coach will help you

What comes after the first experience

If you liked the experience, sign up for the beginners' diving course, and if you didn't like it, that's okay. Diving is not for everyone and you have explored it yourself.

The first step is the most difficult. Then everything becomes easier and more beautiful.
