PADI Tec 45 Diver

After Tec 40, PADI Tec 45 expands decompression diving to 45 m with one stage/deco cylinder. Direct ascent is no longer an immediate option, so planning, gas management, and teamwork are the core of the course. Programme length: 5 days. You practise technical and repetitive deco planning, bottom-gas and emergency reserves, one stage cylinder, gas analysis and labelling, gas switches and stops, buoyancy during decompression, gas loss and regulator/valve failures, cylinder isolation, DSMB use, team communication, and contingency planning. Within training limits you may: dive to 45 m; make repetitive mandatory-stop dives; run accelerated decompression with one deco gas; use nitrox or oxygen up to 100% O₂ for decompression; handle expected open-circuit failures in an organised way; and progress toward Tec 50. The course does not qualify you for overhead environments, depths beyond 45 m, or more than one decompression gas. Requirements, terms and conditions apply.
