PADI Tec Trimix 65 Diver

About the course

When air and nitrox are no longer appropriate for greater depth, Trimix (oxygen, nitrogen, and helium) is used to manage gas effects as part of a precise plan. PADI Tec Trimix 65 is for Tec 50 divers who will run technical Trimix dives to 65 m with organised team gas management. Programme length: 5 days. You study helium and Trimix properties, bottom-mix selection, partial pressures, gas density and equivalent depth, analysis and labelling, consumption and emergency planning, multi-gas plans to 65 m, decompression software and computers, switches and stops, back-gas and stage management, failures and plan changes, teamwork, and DSMB procedures. Within training limits you may make Trimix technical dives to 65 m with mandatory stops, use mixes allowed by the programme, and manage narcosis and density better than air at those depths, preparing for full PADI Tec Trimix Diver. The course does not qualify you beyond 65 m, for mixes outside programme limits, or for overhead environments without separate training. Requirements, terms and conditions apply.
