PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle – DPV

About the course

A DPV lets you cover more ground with less effort when used with planning and control. The course covers types and components, pre-dive checks, body position, speed and heading, descents and ascents, neutral buoyancy and avoiding rapid depth change, buddy contact, distance/time/air/battery planning, turnaround rules, failure and low-battery procedures, towing when needed, care and storage, and two training dives with a certified PADI Instructor. Programme length: 2 days. The specialty does not raise maximum depth and does not qualify you for technical or overhead diving. Use the vehicle within your certification, experience, and site conditions. Speed can change depth unnoticed or take you away from the exit. Scooter type, route, and actual depth depend on available equipment, the student’s level, and the site. Requirements, terms and conditions apply.
