Freediving Course – Level One
Level One Freediving Course: Your Path to Mastery in Exploring the Depths and Uncovering the Secrets of the Sea.
This course corrects your techniques, enhances your knowledge in freediving, and teaches you basic safety procedures.
- Level One Course Includes:An electronic book and an accredited certificate.
- Theory Session: Learn all the detailed aspects of the Level One Freediving Course.
- Pool Session: Learn the essential requirements, basics, and key skills.
- Two Open Water Days: Learn many proper techniques and specialized Level One skills, with correction of fundamental techniques.

- Diving equipment (mask, snorkel, weights, belt, and fins)
Not Included:
- Beach entry fees (range between 100–150 per day)
- Wetsuit (recommended to purchase after consulting your instructor during the theory session)

About the Course
Your first step in discovering why freediving has become a popular way to explore beneath the waves. No prior freediving experience is required.
Freediving is about inner strength, discipline, and self-control. If you've always wanted to explore the underwater world in silence, on your own terms, and stay down as long as your breath allows, then freediving is for you. Taking the PADI Freediver course is your first step in understanding why freediving has become such a beloved form of underwater exploration.
To enroll in the PADI Freediver course, you must:
- Be at least 12 years old
- Have basic swimming skills and be in good physical health
- No prior experience in snorkeling or freediving is required
If you can't swim, inform your instructor so a separate swimming program can be arranged before starting the course.
Under 12 years old? Children aged 8 and above can enroll in the PADI Advanced Snorkeler Course.
Getting Started
Contact your local freediving center or a certified freediving instructor and get access to the PADI Freediver eLearning material. This interactive tool gives you the essential knowledge to dive safely and allows you to study at your own pace. Your PADI Freediving Instructor will monitor your progress and ensure you understand key freediving concepts.
Course Structure
The PADI Freediver course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge Development through self-study using the PADI Freediver eLearning (or instructor-led sessions if the language is not available).
- Confined Water Session: Learn breath-hold techniques, including static and dynamic apnea.
- Goal: 90 seconds static apnea, 25 meters/80 feet dynamic apnea.
- Open Water Sessions: Practice free immersion and constant weight freedives, along with buddy procedures.
